The Sarah Tours Standard

One holiday. Two experiences.

For Passover 2027, Sarah Tours offers two clearly differentiated experiences in northern Morocco — not the same program twice, but two complementary products for different expectations and budgets. Both carry the same Sarah Tours hospitality, the same Jewish life, and the same strict Passover standard.

The Essentials

What a Sarah Tours Passover programme includes

A complete holiday, organised end to end

A Passover programme is a full-board holiday built around the festival. You arrive, and everything from that point is arranged: your room or villa, every meal under strict supervision, the two Seder nights, daily prayer, children’s activities, excursions during Chol Hamoed, and the Mimouna celebration once the festival ends. Nothing about the chag has to be organised by you.

Kashrut and supervision

Both 2027 programmes are Glatt Kasher Lamehadrin and Halav Israël, under the supervision of the Tribunal rabbinique de Casablanca. The kitchens are koshered for Passover and run by the Sarah Tours culinary team, who also operate our year-round kosher catering service in France and Morocco.

The programme is strictly no-kitniyot throughout Passover. Traditional post-Passover specialities appear for the first time at the Mimouna, once the festival has ended.

Dining

Full board throughout, served as a sequence of restaurant-style experiences rather than a single repeated buffet. Breakfast draws on Israeli, Moroccan, American, Mediterranean and French traditions; Yom Tov dinners are table-served; Chol Hamoed brings chef stations and themed menus. The Sarah Tea Room runs between meals, and there is a dedicated children’s dinner each evening at 6 PM. Allergies and dietary requirements are collected before arrival.

Jewish life through the chag

Daily minyanim, shiurim and heritage programming run throughout. The two Sedarim are carefully orchestrated with rabbinic guidance, and Shabbat and Yom Tov are marked with communal meals, kiddushim and zemirot.

Families and children

A supervised Kids Club runs through the programme with sports, creative workshops and Moroccan experiences, alongside the 6 PM children’s dinner. Private babysitting can be arranged on request with the Sarah Tours team; it is booked separately and is not part of the base price.

Chol Hamoed in northern Morocco

The programmes sit on Morocco’s Mediterranean coast, which makes the middle days genuinely interesting. Excursions run to Chefchaouen, the blue-washed town in the Rif mountains, to Tétouan and its UNESCO-listed medina, to Tangier, and to Asilah on the Atlantic. Gibraltar is available as an option for guests whose passports permit the crossing. Live music bands and shows run through Chol Hamoed in the evenings.

The Grand Mimouna

Both programmes close with a Mimouna: msemen, baghrir, sfenj, Moroccan pastries and mint tea, with music and dancing, a Moroccan folklore show, and caftan and henna experiences. Read the story behind Mimouna.

Track Record

More than three decades of Passover programmes

Sarah Tours has organised Passover programmes for over thirty-five years. Before the current Mediterranean programmes, we ran Passover at the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort for many consecutive years, and have also hosted programmes in Marrakech, Agadir, France and Tel Aviv.

That history is why the operation runs the way it does. Read how Marrakech, Agadir and Mazagan compare for Passover. We are not a booking agent reselling a hotel package: Sarah Tours is a tour operator with its own team on the ground in Morocco, its own kosher kitchen, and its own event agency. The same people who cater our programmes cater weddings and private events the rest of the year.

For 2027 the programmes are on the northern Mediterranean coast, at Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay and Marina Smir Hotel & Spa.
