    On arrival a panoramic view of the longest river in Morocco: Oum Er-Rbia awaits you, followed by a walk in the casbah via the Sidi Makhfi gate to reach the Jewish quarter.

    -Visit the Jewish quarter (Mellah) with its synagogue and tombs of Rabbi Abraham Moul Nis and Rabbi Yossi Hagalili.

    The coastal capital of Morocco since 1912, the lively cultural epicentre of Rabat has a population of just over one million. This modern and unspoiled city is full of fascinating historical sites, and this guided tour is a simple and relaxing way to admire them

     

    Discover the main sights in Rabat on a half-day tour. Visit the Chellah, a necropolis complex built by the ancient Romans in the former province of Mauretania Tingitana. On the outskirts of Rabat, this site is the most ancient human settlement on the mouth of the Bou Regreg River. Continue your tour to see Hassan Tower, the minaret of an incomplete mosque, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and his two sons, late King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah. The building is considered a masterpiece of modern Alaouite dynasty architecture. Next, visit the 12th-century Kasbah of the Udayas named Al Mahdia in reference to the original leader Al Mahdi Ben Tumurt. Originally this Kasbah was a Ribat (a military defense) but in 2012, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, explore the ancient ramparts and shops in the old medina.     You will start your tour with a walk through the alley ways of the16th century Jewish Mellah quarter, a distinct district in the medina with a great historical importance. It is here where Jewish settled in Marrakech and practiced trades and craft. You will visit the Lazama Synagogue, the main synagogues remaining in the Mellah quarter and certainly the most picturesque with its striking blue and white colors.

    Then you will visit one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in the country Located in the originally Jewish district of Mellah, the Jewish cemetery of Miaara testifies to the long history of the Jewish community of Marrakech.More than 500 years old, this vast space contains tombs of a simple appearance and of varying sizes, dating back centuries and a few years.

    On the left are numerous anonymized tombs, evidence of the epidemics that have plagued the city forcing a rapid burial of bodies.

    You will finally arrive at the Koutoubia Mosque, completed under the reign of the Almohad Caliph Yaqub al-Mansur (1184-1199), before discovering the electric atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa, the place and the busiest market in Africa. You can enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice by watching snake charmers, henna tattooists and water merchants.
